Over the years we have developed and improved the installation of Bow Thrusters in GRP and Aluminium yachts, sail and power.
Our move towards the scalloped design for displacement craft reduces drag, noise and arguably increases strength in this important pounding area.
The exact position is dependent largely on interior access given the goal is to have the thruster as far forward as possible whilst ensuring that it it one tube diameter below the waterline, to avoid cavitation and ensure maximum performance.
Below are a number of photos taken during the installation of a Bow thruster in a 38′ Southerly, followed by installation into an Aluminium 38′ Ovni.
